Caroline Saxe: Three lessons to my younger self
- It Is Okay to be a Work In Progress
From the outside, it may look like everyone else has their life all figured out or that they are perfect. But that is just a perception. It is okay to not have all the answers yet, and it is okay to still be figuring out who you are. Growth takes time. Instead of comparing your journey to someone else’s journey, focus on your own progress and take some time to notice how far you have come.
- Say Yes to New Opportunities
I know it is not always easy to step outside of your comfort zone. Trying new things can be intimidating, especially when you do not know how things will turn out in the end. Please do not let the fear of what could go wrong cause you to stop seeing what could go right. Remember, saying yes to new opportunities is how some of our best memories are made.
- The Right People Will Find You
Sometimes, the people who become the most important parts of your life are the ones you never expected to meet. Throughout your life, you may find yourself wondering if you will ever find your people. It can be easy to feel like you need to change yourself to fit in, but I am here to remind you that the best friendships are the ones where both people can be their truest selves.
