Sienna Carlson

Sienna’s bold dream is to earn a four-year college degree in engineering or marketing, combining her talents and education to serve and grow her community. In addition, she aspires to grow as a student-athlete, developing skills and a love for the game of volleyball. She will use the Trailblazer Fellowship to play club volleyball, presenting an opportunity to strengthen her passion for the sport while developing the skills and confidence to excel both on and off the court. 

Sienna used her first ABF Grant to travel to Houston, Texas, where her NASA HUNCH team's 3D medical engineering project advanced to the national finals, where her team showcased their hard work. More importantly, this grant strengthened Sienna's passion for engineering, reinforcing it as her bold dream. 

She is actively involved in a variety of service clubs and extracurricular activities. She is a committed member of her school's Service Club, Student Ambassador Team, and Yearbook Committee, while also competing on her school volleyball team and a club volleyball team. 

When asked what advice she would give to her younger self, Sienna remarked, “Never limit yourself to possibilities in life; always reach for the impossible, because whether you succeed or not, it is still worth it… so don't forget to live your life to the fullest because you will always have a safety blanket to catch you when you fall”.
