Morenikeji Abatan

Helen will attend a summer altitude training camp for cross-country skiing. Her bold dream is to earn a Ph.D. in a field related to public health or biostatistics. She hopes to apply the discipline, endurance, and focus she has developed through Nordic skiing to future high-stakes exams, college classes, and laboratory research.

“This camp is important to me because it represents the culmination of my journey as a high school Nordic skier in Minnesota. As I prepare to graduate, I want to push my limits one last time with the team and coaches who have shaped my discipline and work ethic. For me, it’s about finishing this chapter of my life at my absolute strongest.”
