Gabriela Wheelock-Tillman

Gabriela will attend a Spanish language camp this summer. She dreams of becoming a Spanish-speaking naturalist and hopes to continue learning Spanish, the language of her ancestors.

“My dream is to become a Spanish-speaking naturalist and teach kids about animals, science, and nature. When I attend nature camp, the counselors are white and speak English. It would be nice to have brown naturalists too so that kids can see someone who looks like them. I want to be able to speak Spanish with kids who don’t know English and teach them about the world around us.”
